Fred scoops Digital Marketing Award for national campaign success

Team Fred is celebrating after successfully winning the award for Best Digital Marketing Communication at the 2016 Digital Awards.

The award recognises excellence in digital marketing and Fred won it following the huge success of a national campaign for Nothing But, a healthy snack brand from Chaucer Foods.

Fred’s approach to digital marketing and PR can be summed up in three words: Integration, Integration, Integration!  Working with our lovely clients, Fred wanted to create an innovative, exciting campaign that fully integrated PR with social media and vlogger/blogger-led content, so that it was relevant and credible to the target audience and would really get people talking about this unique and special product.

So how did we do it?  We connected with YouTube’s power couple Zalfie (separately known as Zoella and Alfie Deyes) and we also connected with product supplier “SourcedBox” – a monthly subscription box created by fellow youtubers that is filled with healthy foods and drinks and sent to trendy young things across the UK.  By establishing a dialogue between Nothing But and SourcedBox and building on the social media followers that they, and their high profile fans Zalfie have, we were able to achieve a huge online impact for our client.

In addition to the blogger engagement, Fred also delivered a direct marketing and PR campaign to amplify our collaboration with SourcedBox and ensure that the campaign worked hard across all platforms to raise brand profile and drive real sales.

The result? Massive customer reach with over 1.8 million people seeing our client’s product online In less than a week, an immediate 5% increase in Instagram followers, a huge spike in web traffic and an increase in sales.

And the story doesn’t end there!  As the brand profile continues to grow we have worked hard to maintain momentum and have worked closely with our client to ensure the brand always delivers fresh, relevant content – this has included blogger hang out events, further celebrity endorsement and most recently a major campaign around the Great British Bake off, working with a talented illustrator to bring the bakes to life.
